Although we are unable to use the word “National,” this event remains the pinnacle of junior chess competition in Hong Kong. Our brightest young talents will compete to earn recognition as the best in their age group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This competition is open to all players with a Hong Kong (HKG) FIDE ID<\/strong>, with no restrictions on entry. Everyone is welcome to participate and showcase their skills!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winners of this event will not only claim the honor of being champions but also secure the official player place in most international youth events<\/strong> for the year 2025, including Mainland exchange programs, World and Asian Youth competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us for this exciting opportunity to compete at the highest level and celebrate the future stars of Hong Kong chess!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event is co-organised by our federation and The Methodist Lee Wai Lee College who have given us a nice venue for 2 full days viz: 4th<\/sup> & 5th<\/sup> January 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If a player with a FIDE rating of 1800 or higher participates in a group, that group will be played over 5 rounds<\/strong>. All other groups will remain at 7 rounds<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
